Cauliflower & Mushrooms
1 cauliflower, broken into
1 inch flowerettes
peanut oil
1 largish shallot, minced
1 Tablespoon sesame seeds
3 Tablespoons butter
8 oz. mushroom of your choice,
(morels are nice)cleaned and
thinly sliced
1 Tablespoon fresh lemon juice
steam cauliflower to tender crunch in salted water,
leave to drain thoroughly.
saute the shallot and sesame seeds until both are
golden. drain any oil remaining.
saute mushroom slices in the butter.
toss cauliflower in with mushrooms and lemon juice.
stir gently to coat and heat cauliflower. move to
serving dish, top with shallots and sesame seeds.
